Configure SSO for Hyver login

How to set up SAML SSO in Hyver using your identity provider.

Updated over 5 months ago

Overview

This article walks you through enabling and configuring Single Sign-On (SSO) in Hyver using SAML. You'll need to complete this setup before users can log in through providers like Okta.

Only Hyver administrators can configure or disable SSO.

Steps

  1. Open SSO settings
Click the Settings icon in the top navigation bar, go to Company Profile, and select the SSO checkbox to enable the configuration section:

  2. Fill in the SSO configuration fields

    • Hyver Entity ID – This value is auto-filled. Copy it and paste it into your Identity Provider (IdP) settings.

    • Hyver Single Sign-On URL – Also auto-filled. Copy and paste this URL into your IdP.

    • IdP Entity ID – Paste your IdP's entity ID into this field.

    • IdP Metadata URL – Get the SAML metadata URL from your IdP and enter it here. This XML file contains essential configuration data for SAML-based login.

  3. Save and confirm

    • Click Save.

    • When prompted, type Save and click Continue to confirm:

    • The SSO setup will now be active for your organization.

Resetting 2FA for a user

If an admin needs to reset two-factor authentication for a user:

  • A password prompt will appear. Enter your Hyver password.

  • If you don’t have one (e.g., you're using SSO yourself), click Forgot your password to create or reset it.

Disabling SSO

  1. Deselect the SSO checkbox
This disables SSO for users. A popup will notify you of the action:

  2. Confirm the change

    • Click Close in the popup.

    • Click Save, type Save in the prompt, then click Continue to confirm:

    • Important: This will permanently delete your SSO configuration.

Important notes

  • Only admins can configure or disable SSO.

  • No changes are applied until you click Save and confirm the action.

  • Resetting 2FA always requires entering your Hyver password, even if you use SSO.

Wrap-up / Next Steps

Enabling SSO streamlines login and improves security, but configuration needs to be exact. Take your time, double-check values, and loop in your IT or IdP admin if needed.
