Set the primary maturity framework

How to choose the main framework for calculating cybersecurity maturity in Hyver.

Updated over 5 months ago

Overview

This article explains how administrators can set the primary maturity framework used across Hyver. The selected framework determines how your organization’s cybersecurity maturity is calculated and presented in dashboards and reports.

Hyver supports frameworks like NIST CSF 1.1 and NIST CSF 2.0.

Steps

  1. Open Maturity Settings
Click the Settings icon in the top navigation bar, then select Maturity:

  2. Choose a framework
From the list, select the maturity framework you want to use as your primary model:

  3. Click Save

    • When prompted, type Save in the confirmation field.

    • Click Continue to apply your selection.

  4. Handle data migration (if applicable)

    • If switching from NIST CSF 1.1 to 2.0 and you haven’t already migrated your data, you’ll be given the option to do so now:

    • If your data has already been migrated, Hyver will display a summary of the migration:

Important notes

  • Only one primary framework can be active at a time.

  • Changing the framework may impact how maturity scores are calculated and displayed across the platform.

  • Data migration is optional but recommended if you’re switching to a newer framework version.

Wrap-up / Next Steps

Choosing the right maturity framework helps align Hyver’s scoring with your organization’s strategy. If you're moving to NIST CSF 2.0, the migration process ensures your existing data stays relevant and accurate.
