Highlight Routes in the Org. Attack Graph

Use route highlighting to surface the most critical and probable attack paths in your Org. Attack Graph.

Updated today

Overview

This article explains how to use route highlighting in Cye Exposure Management Platform’s Org. Attack Graph. Highlighting helps you quickly spot the most dangerous or likely attack paths — making it easier to prioritize actions that will deliver real impact.

You’ll learn about two built-in highlights: Critical to Block and Most Probable Route.

Route Highlight Options

Critical to Block

  • Default: Enabled

  • Highlights in turquoise

  • Displays the attack paths that include the most critical findings — those that, if mitigated, would significantly reduce your exposure.

  • It’s recommended to keep this on so you can focus on high-impact vulnerabilities.

These routes help you identify areas where a fix will cut off multiple attack paths or dramatically lower risk.

Most Probable Route

  • Default: Enabled

  • Highlights in dark blue

  • Shows the single route with the highest likelihood of being exploited.

  • This is the most accessible and efficient route for an attacker — based on factors like finding complexity, popularity, and required effort.

Use this to spot a "quick win" — a small mitigation effort that can block a highly probable breach.

Wrap-up / Next Steps

Highlighting routes makes the Org. Attack Graph more than just a visualization — it becomes a decision-making tool. Use these views to direct your attention to what’s most urgent or impactful.

Next, consider using these highlights when planning a new mitigation strategy or building out your remediation roadmap.
