Overview
This update introduces support for NIST’s Cybersecurity Framework 2.0 and expands Hyver’s Azure assessment capabilities. You’ll be able to assess cybersecurity maturity using the latest NIST model, and benefit from additional insights powered by Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
1. NIST CSF 2.0 support
Hyver now supports the NIST Cybersecurity Framework version 2.0.
Whether you're just getting started or have previously assessed your maturity using NIST CSF 1.1 in Hyver, the transition is smooth:
Fact-based maturity assessments in Hyver are now aligned with NIST CSF 2.0.
If you’ve already been using NIST CSF 1.1, Hyver automatically maps your existing assessment data to the correct NIST CSF 2.0 subcategories.
This saves time and helps ensure consistency across framework versions.
No manual work is needed — just continue your assessments as usual, now with the latest industry guidance built in.
2. Enhancement to Azure assessment
Hyver’s Azure assessment now detects eight additional findings identified by Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.
These findings provide expanded visibility into your Azure environment, helping uncover more relevant security issues with minimal effort on your part.
Important notes
The NIST CSF 2.0 update applies to new and existing maturity assessments.
Azure enhancements require Microsoft Defender for Endpoint to be active in the assessed environment.
