Overview
Let’s be honest—security work moves fast, and the to-do list never really shrinks. Between chasing findings, updating dashboards, and nudging people to take action, it can feel like you’re always a step behind. That’s why Hyver now has a new teammate: Workato.

Workato is here to help you turn “we should really do something about this” into “it’s already done.”
You don’t need to be a developer, and you don’t need to rebuild your workflows from scratch. If you’ve ever wished Hyver could automatically open a Jira ticket, send a Slack ping, or update a finding the moment something changes—without you lifting a finger—this is that wish, granted.
What is Workato?
Workato is an Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS)—basically, a universal plug adapter for the digital tools you use every day.
It comes with built-in connectors for over 1,000 systems—ticketing tools like Jira and ServiceNow, messaging apps like Slack and Teams, project management tools like monday.com, and many more.
Instead of hiring developers or writing custom code to link tools together, you use Workato to create recipes—automated workflows that make things happen in other systems based on what’s happening in Hyver.
In practice, that means you can:
Detect something important (a trigger) in Hyver—like a critical security finding.
Automatically do something (an action) in another system—like opening a Jira ticket, sending a Slack alert, or emailing a summary.
Or flip it around: detect a trigger in another system (like a Jira ticket being closed) and automatically update Hyver so your dashboards and exposure metrics stay accurate.
And you can do all of this without writing a single line of code.
Why does this matter in Hyver?
Hyver is where you see your risks. But seeing a risk and doing something about it are two different things.
Yes, we already have direct integrations with tools like Jira and ServiceNow, and those work well for straightforward use cases. But Workato takes things further—connecting Hyver to over 1,000 tools and letting you chain actions together however you want.
This means you’re no longer limited to “one tool, one purpose” integrations. You can trigger multiple tools at once, apply conditions, and tailor workflows to how your team operates—without waiting on a developer to build it for you.
Technically speaking, this is northbound integration: Hyver sends information out to other systems. There’s no inbound data ingestion here—just clean, controlled, outbound actions.
What kind of automation is possible?
These examples are just to spark ideas. In reality, you can go as simple or as complex as you like—linking multiple tools, stacking conditions, and creating flows that match exactly how your team works.
Example 1: Auto-Ticketing from Findings
Trigger (the “if”): Hyver detects a high-risk security finding.
A trigger is simply an event—something that happens in Hyver or another connected tool—that starts the automation.Action (the “then”): Create a ticket in Jira or ServiceNow with all relevant details, links, and context.
An action is the task that happens in response to the trigger.Result: Faster remediation, no developer dependency, and no risk of something critical being missed.
Example 2: Closed-Loop Remediation
Trigger: A Jira or ServiceNow ticket status changes to “Fixed.”
Action: Update the related finding in Hyver to “Fixed.”
Result: Dashboards, exposure metrics, and reports stay accurate automatically—no need to chase updates.
Example 3: Notifications & Alerts
Trigger: A maturity gap is detected or a specific risk threshold is met.
Action: Send a Slack message, Teams notification, or email summary to the right people.
Result: Everyone stays informed the moment something important happens.
Why Workato?
Built into Hyver – It already understands findings, maturity scores, and remediation triggers.
No-code – Build and customize workflows without writing any code.
Security-focused – Flows can update Hyver (like changing a finding’s status), but there’s no inbound data ingestion. All workflows are still governed by CYE’s security controls.
Important notes
Only Hyver admins can create or manage workflows.
Each company gets an allocation of tasks—extra tasks can be purchased.
Outbound workflows only—no inbound data ingestion.
Wrap-up / Next Steps
Workato in Hyver is about closing the gap between spotting a problem and fixing it.
By connecting Hyver’s insights to the tools you already use, you can move from “alert received” to “action taken” without the delays, bottlenecks, or manual busywork that usually gets in the way.
You’ll find it under Integrations → Workflow Automation in Hyver. Take a look, browse the connectors, and think about the moments in your workday where you wish something would “just happen” without you doing it. With Workato, those moments can be real.
