Overview
Once your business assets are defined in Hyver, you can review their properties to understand how they influence risk prioritization and mitigation. This article explains what each field in the Business Assets list means and how to use that information to support security decisions.
How to View Your Business Assets
Click the Settings icon in the top-right corner.
Select Business Assets from the menu.
You’ll see a row for each asset previously defined in your organization.
What the Columns Mean
Each business asset includes the following fields:
Name
The name assigned when the asset was created (e.g., “Customer Data”, “R&D Systems”).Hyver assigns a visual icon to indicate the asset type.
Assets created manually use a default generic icon.
Org. Importance
A value from 1 to 10 that reflects how critical the asset is to your organization.Assets are sorted by importance in this view.
Some teams prefer to prioritize mitigation based on this value instead of financial risk.
To switch prioritization mode, go to Settings > Findings and select Business asset importance.
Likelihood
The estimated probability (1–100%) that this asset will be targeted in a successful attack.Automatically calculated by Hyver, based on active attack paths in the Mitigation Graph.
When you mitigate findings connected to this asset, the likelihood typically decreases.
Cost of Breach
The estimated financial loss your organization would face if this asset were compromised.Reflects data from the Cost of Breach calculator.
Exposure
Calculated by multiplying Likelihood × Cost of Breach.Represents your risk in monetary terms.
Higher exposure means the asset poses greater overall risk and should be prioritized for mitigation.
Important notes
Mitigated findings and updated assessments can change both Likelihood and Exposure values over time.
Exposure calculations help you weigh technical vulnerabilities in business terms.
Settings related to prioritization can be configured by Administrators only.
