Overview
The Business Assets Exposure chart helps you quickly identify which business assets in your organization are most exposed to cyber risk. This article explains how to read the chart and use it to drive risk-based decisions about mitigation.
It’s an at-a-glance way to see where action is most urgently needed.
What the Chart Shows
This bar chart ranks your business assets by exposure, from highest to lowest.
Exposure is calculated as:
Likelihood × Cost of Breach
Each bar represents a business asset. The longer the bar, the higher the asset’s exposure — and the greater the urgency to reduce it.
How to Use It
Scan the top of the chart to see which assets carry the most risk:
Use this view to focus your efforts on high-priority mitigation areas.
Click a business asset (if interactive) to explore more details or related findings:
Example: If “Customer Information” appears at the top, it likely has a high probability of attack and a high cost if breached — a strong candidate for immediate action.
Important notes
This chart only reflects current data. Make sure your likelihood scores and Cost of Breach inputs are up to date.
Assets without validated findings may show low or no exposure — this doesn't always mean they're safe.
Wrap-up / Next Steps
Use this view to spot your biggest risks fast. Whether you’re planning mitigation or preparing for a risk review, this chart helps you zero in on what needs attention — and where your next security effort should go.
