Created vs. Fixed Trends

Track how many findings are being created and resolved over time.

Updated over 4 months ago

Overview

This article explains the Created vs. Fixed Trends graph on the Findings Dashboard.
It helps you monitor your organization’s remediation progress by comparing new findings with resolved ones, giving you insight into backlog trends and team performance.

What the graph shows

The graph displays the total number of created and fixed findings each month.
Only findings that you have permission to view are included in the totals.

Interact with the graph

  • Hover over any data point to see a breakdown by severity and month-over-month changes.

  • Click the legend items (e.g., "Created", "Fixed") to toggle individual trend lines on or off for clearer analysis.

Understanding dashed lines

  • Dashed lines at either end of the graph indicate incomplete months — periods where only partial data is available.

It’s important to understand that a partial month doesn’t mean the system is still processing data. Instead, it means that no data was collected for part of that month.

For example, if findings were first entered into Hyver on July 18, the system marks July as a partial month — because there is no data for the first 17 days. This distinction helps ensure you don’t compare July directly to a full month like August, which may contain data for all 31 days.

Important notes

  • Created totals exclude findings marked as:

    • Not Relevant

    • Or any pre-open statuses such as:

      • Draft

      • Not approved

      • Awaiting approval

      • Approved
