Asset Discovery

View and understand the assets discovered and their importance levels in your environment.

Overview

This article explains the Asset Discovery Summary table in the Findings Dashboard.
It helps you see which assets have been identified — whether automatically discovered or manually added — and how they’re classified by importance and type.

Where the data comes from

The Asset Discovery Summary includes:

  • Assets automatically found during discovery

  • Assets you’ve added manually

Understanding the table layout

  • Importance

Assets are grouped into Low, Medium, or High importance categories.

    • The more blue squares you see in the Importance column, the higher the asset’s criticality.

    • If no importance level is set, that row will have no squares.

You can assign importance when creating an asset — but it’s optional.

  • Types

This column lists the types of assets in each importance category, such as:

    • Domains

    • Applications

    • IP Ranges

    • URLs

    • Paths

    • Services

Each type is followed by the number of instances found.

  • Assets Discovered

This column shows the total number of assets in that importance group.

Wrap-up / Next Steps

The Asset Discovery Summary helps you stay aware of what’s in your environment — and what matters most. It’s a simple but powerful view that can guide how you prioritize your security efforts.
