Illustrate Mitigation Impact in the Graph

Highlight fixed findings to understand how past mitigations have disrupted attack routes.

Updated over 5 months ago

Overview

This article explains how to visualize the effect of your remediation efforts using Hyver’s mitigation graph. By enabling the Verified as fixed findings view, you can see which vulnerabilities have been resolved — and how their removal impacts attack routes.

This feature helps you assess progress and plan what to fix next.

How to View Mitigation Impact

After marking a finding as Fixed, you can reflect that change visually in the graph:

  1. Open the Graph Visualizer.

  2. Enable the Verified as fixed findings option:

This will:

  • Highlight all fixed findings with a black dot and a green ellipsis icon.

  • Gray out the parts of attack routes that were affected by those findings:

These visual cues let you quickly see which paths are now blocked due to mitigation — and where active vulnerabilities still remain.

Why This Matters

Viewing mitigation impact helps you:

  • Confirm which attack routes are no longer viable.

  • Measure remediation effectiveness.

  • Identify next steps for planning future mitigation efforts.

It's a clear way to connect actions taken with actual security improvements.

Wrap-up / Next Steps

Visualizing mitigation impact gives you clarity on what’s been accomplished and what’s still exposed. It’s a great tool for reporting progress, justifying priorities, and adjusting your mitigation strategy.

Next, try combining this view with route highlights or planning tools to refine your approach.
