Overview
This article explains how to delete a position — a node representing a threat, asset, or intermediary — from the mitigation graph in Hyver. Deleting a position can help clean up unused or outdated nodes, but only if it's not currently connected to an edge.
How to Delete a Position
If the position is not connected to any edges, it will be removed from the graph.
Note: Deleting a position also removes any linked findings from the graph view, but the findings themselves are not deleted. They remain accessible in the findings list.
Important Notes
Users can only delete positions that are not connected to any edges.
If the position is part of a route, remove the connected edges first.
This ensures you don’t accidentally disrupt valid attack path data.
Wrap-up / Next Steps
Deleting unused positions helps keep your mitigation graph focused and relevant. Just make sure all connected edges are removed first. From here, you can continue refining your graph or reassign findings to updated paths.
