Deleting an Edge

Remove an edge from the mitigation graph without deleting the underlying finding.

Updated over 5 months ago

Overview

This article explains how to delete an edge from the mitigation graph in Hyver. Edges represent attack paths between positions and are usually linked to findings. Removing an edge disconnects it from the graph but does not remove the finding from your system.

How to Delete an Edge

  1. Right-click the finding icon on the edge you want to remove.

  2. From the dropdown menu, select Delete edge:

This will:

  • Remove the edge from the graph

  • Unlink the associated finding from that specific path

  • Not delete the finding from your findings list β€” it remains available for other uses or views

Important Notes

  • Customers cannot delete edges created by CYE

  • CYE cannot delete edges created by customers

This ensures mutual respect and control over graph changes across both parties.

Wrap-up / Next Steps

Deleting an edge helps you refine your mitigation graph as threats evolve or priorities shift β€” without losing the underlying data. Use this feature to keep your graph focused and relevant.

Next, you may want to re-link the finding elsewhere, adjust your positions, or update your mitigation plan.
