Scheduling Reports in the Cye platform

Set up automated reports to run once or on a recurring schedule, for sharing or internal tracking.

Overview

This article explains how report scheduling works in the Cye Exposure Management Platform. With scheduling, you can automatically generate reports that capture your organization’s security posture at specific points in time — and distribute them to key stakeholders.

You can choose between one-time schedules or recurring schedules, depending on your reporting needs. Reports can be viewed directly in the Cye Exposure Management Platform or delivered via email.

What is scheduled reporting?

Scheduled reports give you a consistent, repeatable way to:

  • Track your security metrics over time

  • Provide executive stakeholders with regular updates

  • Document trends and progress across KPIs and KRIs

  • Capture a time-stamped snapshot of your organization’s exposure, maturity, and mitigation status

How scheduling works

To schedule a report, you set up a scheduler — a set of rules that defines:

  • Which template the report will use

  • When the report should be created (date and time)

  • Whether it should run once or on a recurring basis (e.g., weekly, monthly)

  • Optional email delivery to selected recipients

Once configured, the report is automatically created on the scheduled date and can be:

  • Accessed via the Reports page

  • Downloaded as a PDF

  • Shared by email with relevant contacts

View and manage schedules

On the Report Scheduler page, you can:

  • Review all configured schedules

  • See whether a report is set to run once or on a recurring basis

  • Make changes or remove schedules as needed

Important notes

  • Only the Cye platform administrators can create and manage report schedules

  • Reports generated via a schedule reflect the exact data available at the time they run

Wrap-up / Next Steps

Scheduled reporting helps you keep stakeholders in the loop — without the manual overhead. Once set up, your reports will run on time and always reflect your latest risk data.
