See what new features and enhancements are available in Hyver in March 2025.

Updated over 5 months ago

Overview

This article summarizes the latest updates released in March 2025. It includes improvements to exposure modeling, expanded platform capabilities for complex organizations, new integrations, and enhancements to reporting and maturity assessment.

You’ll find updates that improve data accuracy, make Hyver more flexible and customizable, and support evolving regulatory and operational needs.

Exposure v2

All findings contribute to exposure

Exposure Version 2 ensures that all eligible findings influence the calculation of an organization's exposure. This version:

  • Incorporates Cost of Breach V2 (CoB) and Likelihood of Breach V2 (LoB)

  • Leverages your maturity assessment

  • Uses comprehensive data from common attack routes identified by CYE’s ethical hackers

  • Integrates extensive historical data from Advisen and CYE’s internal data and expertise

Each finding is now assigned an exposure reduction value, which helps prioritize mitigation efforts more effectively.

Cost of Breach is more accurate

Cost of Breach V2 improves accuracy by integrating:

  • Real-world cyber event data

  • Your organization’s cybersecurity maturity assessment results

Key improvements:

  • CoB is automatically calculated based on your maturity score — no separate security questionnaire needed

  • Maturity in subcategories directly impacts the CoB value

  • If data is insufficient, Hyver uses industry sector averages to maintain precision

Likelihood of Breach for all findings

Likelihood of Breach Version 2 allows all findings to contribute to breach probability by incorporating:

  • Maturity data

  • Common Mitigation Graph: a large-scale database of findings, positions, and attack routes, built from thousands of CYE assessments

Expanded Multi-Tier Support for Multi-Company Environments

The Multi-Company Dashboard now supports multiple hierarchical levels, beyond the previous two-level limit (Parent Company and Subsidiaries). This provides greater flexibility for large and complex organizations.

Customizable Report Widgets

Report customization has been enhanced with Configuring Widget Settings. You can now:

  • Display different datasets in different report sections

  • Highlight key insights like Cost of Breach trends or Exposure data

  • Include or exclude specific parameters from a widget

New Mapped Standards in Maturity Assessment

The Standards tab in the maturity assessment now includes mapping to additional frameworks, with dedicated filters per subcategory:

  • DORA – Risk Management document

  • HITRUST CSF v.11.4.0

  • NIST AI RMF 100-1v1.0

You can also filter by mapped standards/frameworks on the Maturity Assessment page.

DORA Violation Findings

Hyver now flags findings that violate DORA regulations. On the Overview tab of each relevant finding:

  • See a clear explanation of the expected business impact

  • Access direct links to DORA documentation for reference

To view them, search for the tag: Regulation: DORA in the Findings section.

New Linked Findings Source Column

A new Source column was added to the Linked Findings section in the Maturity Assessment screen (under each subcategory). This helps users easily identify where each linked finding originated.

Bulk Delete for Findings

Users with appropriate permissions can now delete up to 50 findings at once in Hyver.

Support for Special Characters

Hyver now supports:

  • Copying and pasting of ' (single quote) and " (double quote)

  • German characters: ä ö ü Ä Ö Ü ß

  • Euro symbol in DORA business impact fields

New Integrations

Qualys VMDR

Hyver now integrates with Qualys VMDR (Vulnerability Management Detection & Response), allowing users to:

  • Discover and import assets and associated findings

  • Identify misconfigurations in trust, permissions, and access levels

  • Improve visibility into vulnerabilities across the IT environment

KnowBe4

Hyver integrates with KnowBe4, which provides security awareness training and phishing simulations. This integration enables you to:

  • Generate findings from phishing simulation results

  • Identify compliance gaps from training

  • Measure and improve workforce security awareness

Wrap-up / Next Steps

These updates aim to help you get even more value from your risk data — with more accuracy, more flexibility, and more alignment to the way your organization works.
