Overview

This article introduces the top section of the Finding Details Pane in Hyver.
From here, you can view key metadata about the finding, copy or share its ID, update its status, and more. It’s your starting point for reviewing or managing a specific vulnerability.

Details

When you open a finding in the right-hand pane, the top section gives you quick access to its most important details and actions:

Key fields and actions

  • ID
Each finding has a unique identifier that starts with #F- (e.g., #F-115).
Click the copy icon next to the ID to copy it for searching, reporting, or sharing.

  • Finding Name
A short label describing the vulnerability or issue identified.

  • Share
Click the Share button to send this finding to another Hyver user.

  • View on Graph
Opens the finding’s location within the Mitigation Graph, allowing you to understand how it fits into the broader attack route.

  • Full Screen
Click the Full Screen button to expand the entire details pane into a focused, full-page view.

  • Comments
Click the Comments icon to view, add, or delete comments.
All comment actions are logged in the history tab.

Finding attributes

  • Type
Describes what kind of issue this is:

    • Vulnerability – A confirmed, actionable security issue

    • Potential – A suspected issue with limited evidence

    • Capability – A link between two graph positions showing access or permissions, not a flaw

Capability findings don’t represent vulnerabilities, but they help model real-world access in the Mitigation Graph. This visibility helps ensure permissions align with security policies.

  • Status
Shows the current lifecycle stage of the finding (e.g., Open, In Progress, Fixed).
You can update the status directly from this view.
After confirming the issue has been resolved, check the Has been verified box to mark it as validated:

  • Exposure Reduction
Shows how much the organization’s risk exposure will decrease if this finding is fixed.

  • Maturity Level
Displays the cybersecurity maturity level linked to this finding via its NIST subcategories.

  • Severity
Indicates the risk level — such as Critical, High, Medium, or Low — based on Hyver’s risk-based model.

Wrap-up / Next Steps

The top of the Finding Details Pane gives you fast insight into the most relevant aspects of a vulnerability — along with actions to manage it.
If you're diving deeper into remediation or collaboration, this is your launch point.
