Overview
This article outlines general behaviors and capabilities related to sharing findings in Hyver.
From switching share modes to assigning custom permissions, Hyver provides flexible controls for managing access — all backed by a full audit trail.
Key sharing behaviors
Sharing is not restricted by status
You can share a finding at any stage — Draft, Open, Fixed, etc.
Status has no impact on visibility rules.Switch between sharing modes anytime
You can freely toggle between Restricted members and Anyone with permission. All share actions are audited
Any changes — like adding members or switching modes — are logged and available in the Sharing Findings Audit.Dashboard and graph visibility is permission-based
If you don’t have access to a finding, you won’t see its data in dashboards, reports, or the mitigation graph.
Roles and permissions
Admins, Editors, and Editors with Finding & Graph Initiator permissions at the engagement level can share a finding — if they have been granted permission through sharing.
A user who is part of Anyone with permission can also be added to the Restricted members list — giving them access via both groups.
You can change a member’s permission level at any time:
Open the Share with members window
Use the dropdown menu next to the member’s name to update their role (e.g., Viewer → Editor):
UI tip

Hyver’s sharing tools are designed for flexibility and control. You can manage access at any stage of a finding’s lifecycle — and every action is recorded for transparency.
