Editing a Remediation Asset of a Finding

Update the details or status of a remediation asset linked to a finding.

Overview

This article explains how to edit a remediation asset that's associated with a finding in Hyver.
You can update status, severity, or other asset-specific information — and track the full change history for auditing.


Steps

  1. Open the Findings page
    Click the Findings icon in the left-hand navigation to display your list of findings.

  2. Expand the relevant finding
    Find the row of the vulnerability you want to edit.
    Click the Expand icon to display the list of associated remediation assets.

  3. Edit the remediation asset

  • In the row of the remediation asset, right-click and select Edit:

  • A form opens where you can update details:

Then:

  1. Make your changes
    You can update:

  • Status (e.g., To Do, In Progress, Fixed, Acceptable Risk)

  • Severity

  • Product

  • Additional Info

  • And more...

If you’ve confirmed the remediation is complete, you can check Has been verified to mark it as validated:

Then:

  1. Save your changes
    Click Update to save the edits.


Track changes in history

  • Use the Remediation History tab in the right-hand pane to view changes such as:

    • Fix dates

    • Status transitions

    • Verification updates

  • You can also view creation and modification logs on the History tab for a full audit trail:
