Overview
This article explains how to manage member and group access for a specific engagement in Hyver. You’ll learn how to assign permissions, invite users, and grant access to pending members.
Even if a user is authorized to use Hyver, they still need to be added to an engagement to see or work on it.
How to manage engagement access
Open the engagement and click the Members & Groups tab:
From here, you can assign access to:
Individual members
User groups already defined in Hyver
Define each user’s role within the engagement.
Adding new members (pending activation)
You can also add newly invited members who haven’t yet activated their Hyver account:
These users will appear with their email address labeled as pending activation.
Once they log in for the first time, they’ll automatically gain access to the engagement.
This option is available for individual members only — not for groups.
Wrap-up / Next Steps
The Members & Groups tab lets you control who sees what — and ensures that only the right people can access sensitive engagement data.
Take a moment to check roles and permissions so your team is set up for success.
