Overview
This article explains how to use Hyver’s reporting feature to communicate security program performance across your organization. Reports help align executives, security leaders, and practitioners around shared metrics and risk priorities.
Currently, the reporting feature is available only to Hyver administrators.
1. Understand the purpose of reports
Reports help you:
Share data-driven insights with executives, boards, and internal stakeholders.
Demonstrate progress on key metrics like exposure, maturity, and risk reduction.
Align your organization's efforts around security performance and risk mitigation.
Each report is built using a template, and you can choose from:
Out-of-the-box templates provided by Hyver.
Customized templates you’ve edited.
Blank templates you build from scratch using widgets.
You can view reports online or export them as PDFs.
2. Navigate the Reports page
From the Reports page, you can:
Browse all existing reports
Search and filter by report name or template
Open reports to view or download
Each report provides a snapshot of current risk posture and trends, based on the metrics selected.
3. Add metrics with widgets
Widgets let you visualize key performance indicators (KPIs), key risk indicators (KRIs), and other important security metrics.
You can:
Add widgets to a blank report template
Configure widget settings to reflect your goals and metrics
Tailor each report to the intended audience (executives, security leads, etc.)
4. Create or manage reports
Hyver gives you flexibility in how you manage reports:
Create new reports using any available template
Edit existing templates to fit your organization's style or structure
Design reports from scratch using widgets that pull from your current security data
5. Share reports with others
Once you’ve created a report, you can:
View it online within Hyver
Download it as a PDF
Share it with selected users
These reports are designed to make your security efforts transparent, measurable, and actionable.
Important notes
Only Hyver administrators can create and manage reports.
Reports reflect live data at the time of generation. Scheduled reports will reflect the state of data at their scheduled time.
Wrap-up / Next Steps
