Using a Blank Template in Hyver

Start from scratch and build a fully customized report using text, widgets, and layout tools.

Overview

This article walks you through creating a new report template from scratch using the Blank Template option in Hyver. This gives you complete flexibility over the content, layout, and metrics included in your report.

Only Hyver administrators can create templates and reports.


1. Start a new blank template

  • Click the Reports icon in the left-hand navigation

  • On the Templates page, click + Blank template

  • Enter a name for your new template:

  • Click the checkmark to save the name


2. Add content to your template

  • Hover your cursor over the top row of the blank page:

  • A layout icon appears β€” click it to open content options

  • You can now:

    • Enter text in a section

    • Click + to add a widget that visualizes metrics:

Tip: Press Enter to insert a new section. You can add more text or widgets in each new block.

To reposition a section:

  • Hover near the left edge of the row

  • Drag the move icon to reorder it


3. Save and create the report

  • Your changes are saved automatically as you work

  • When you're ready, click Create Report:

  • Once the report is created, you can:

    • View it on the Reports page

    • Download it as a PDF


Important notes

  • Reports created from blank templates can include any mix of widgets, text, and images

  • Only admins have access to create and manage templates
