How to remove a tag from a tagged item in Hyver.

Updated over 5 months ago

Overview

This article explains how to delete a tag from a finding, asset, or remediation asset in Hyver. Removing a tag helps keep your workspace clean and ensures items stay grouped only where they’re relevant.

Steps

How to Delete a Tag

  1. Go to the Findings, Assets, or Remediation Assets page.

  2. Select the row of the item whose tag you want to remove.

  3. In the details pane on the right, locate the Tags field:

  4. Click the × (remove) icon next to the tag you want to delete:

  5. The tag is removed immediately from that item.

Important notes

  • Deleting a tag from one item does not delete it system-wide. Other items with the same tag will still retain it.

  • You can only delete tags from individual items — bulk tag removal is not currently supported.

  • Tags remain available for reuse after being removed.

Wrap-up / Next Steps

Removing tags keeps your tagging system accurate and tidy. When priorities shift or items change roles, feel free to clean up tags so they reflect what matters now.
