Deleting Remediation Assets

Remove remediation assets you’ve added, with restrictions based on ownership and graph impact.

Updated over 5 months ago

Overview

This article explains the rules and limitations around deleting remediation assets in Hyver.
Only remediation assets that were added or imported by the current user can be deleted, and only if they do not impact findings or the mitigation graph.

Who can delete remediation assets?

  • You can only delete remediation assets you added or imported into Hyver.

  • A CYE service team member cannot delete assets added by you — and vice versa.

In the Created by column, assets added by a Hyver user will show “Hyver” as the creator.

Deletion limitations

  • You cannot delete remediation assets that are:

    • Linked to active findings

    • Connected to positions or edges in the mitigation graph

These assets must remain in place to preserve the integrity of risk modeling and remediation tracking.

Wrap-up / Next Steps

If you need to remove a remediation asset, make sure you’re the one who added it — and confirm it’s not tied to findings or the graph. Otherwise, consider updating the asset’s status or details instead.
