Delete a Remediation Asset of a Finding

Remove a remediation asset from a finding, if eligible for deletion.

Overview

This article explains how to delete a remediation asset that is linked to a finding in Hyver.
Only remediation assets that meet specific criteria can be deleted — and deletion is permanent.


Steps

  1. Select the remediation asset(s)

    • From the expanded view of a finding, check the box in the left column for each remediation asset you want to delete:

  2. Click the Delete icon

    • The Delete button appears once assets are selected.

    • If an asset cannot be deleted, Hyver will display a message explaining why:

  3. Confirm deletion

    • A warning message appears to confirm that this is a permanent action.

    • Once confirmed, the selected remediation asset(s) will be removed from the finding:


Reasons a remediation asset may not be deleted:

  • You did not add or import the asset (ownership restriction)

  • The asset is linked to:

    • An active finding, or

    • An edge or position on the mitigation graph:

Use caution when deleting remediation assets. If you can’t delete an asset, check its ownership or whether it impacts active findings or the graph.
