Overview
This article explains how to delete assets in Hyver. You can only delete assets that you personally added or imported. Assets linked to findings or the mitigation graph cannot be deleted, and neither can assets added by the CYE service team.
1. Open the Assets page
Click the Assets icon in the left navigation pane to view all assets in the current engagement:
2. Identify deletable assets
Check the Created by column:
If it says Hyver, the asset was added or imported by you (or another platform user) — and may be eligible for deletion.
Assets added by the CYE service team or discovered through integrations cannot be deleted by you.
Important: Assets that impact findings or are part of the mitigation graph (positions or edges) cannot be deleted — even if you added them.
3. Select the assets to delete
Check the box beside each asset you want to delete:
4. Click the Delete icon
Click the trash can icon at the top of the screen. This message will appear - If you are sure you want to delete them, click the delete button:
If any selected asset cannot be deleted, Hyver will display a message letting you know.
Important notes
Deletions are only allowed for assets added manually or via user import.
Assets involved in active findings or mitigation paths are locked for safety and audit integrity.
The CYE service team cannot delete assets on your behalf if you created them.
Wrap-up / Next Steps
If you're cleaning up old data or correcting an import, deleting assets can help — just be aware of the system’s safeguards. When in doubt, check the asset’s source and connections first.
